Sr Financial Editor/Writer at Putnam
The Senior Financial Editor/Writer is responsible for developing thought leadership on investment and retirement topics, with special emphasis on fixed-income strategies and alternative investments. The Senior Financial Editor/Writer should over time also be able to oversee the work of department writers and of freelance writers.
Ideal candidates should have strong investment knowledge of fixed-income and alternative strategies, advanced editing, copyediting, and writing skills, the ability to work closely with designers, account executives, compliance and legal reviewers, website designers, and video production teams, in order to advance Putnam’s business strategy by publishing attention-getting thought leadership content across a variety of media.
Also necessary, is an in-depth knowledge of investment products, particularly fixed-income and alternative investments, economics, financial markets, Putnam’s investment capabilities, and the investment industry. Understands the needs of institutional consultants, retirement plan sponsors, financial advisors, and shareholders in order to target materials to specific audiences.
This is a high profile position in which the person can develop relationships across multiple groups (investments, distribution, marketing, etc.). Opportunity to play a major role working with the heads of investments on near-term product development and the opportunity work on new products.
