This Administrative Assistant in Human Resources will provide administrative support to assigned HR managers: Professionally screen and accurately route telephone calls; maintain and create files in accordance with internal procedures; open and distribute mail, faxes, etc.; order supplies; maintain calendar(s) and schedule appointments/meetings; make travel arrangements; submit reimbursements; and arrange conferences/meetings.
Utilize appropriate office software for documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. Provides department with additional resources on an entry level basis (ie: college recruiting efforts, career fairs, etc.). Facilitates new hire orientation, and acts as a point of contact for internal and external inquiries. Provides administrative support for the entire employee life cycle (recruiting, hire, term etc) as well as any other administrative duties as required.
Represents Putnam Investments in an efficient and highly professional manner with both internal and external clients, in accordance with Putnam’s focus on world-class client service. May assume additional project work or responsibilities as assigned.
Requires a high level of accuracy, strong MS Office software knowledge, and a minimum of one year of prior related experience. A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
